This is a busy, exciting, scary, busy, gratifying (did I mention busy?) time! It seems like periods of big change always coincide with late fall and winter when things are already going 100 miles per hour, doesn’t it? The end of the year is also time to shed old patterns and inhibitions in preparation for taking on new and exciting challenges, so maybe building a yoga studio in the middle of the holidays and work and kid stuff and school stuff is exactly what’s supposed to happen (at least that’s what I’m telling myself when I’m replacing ceiling tiles at 9 pm!).
We had been waiting for the previous tenant to move the last of her stuff out so we could move in, and now we’re working quickly to make sure everything is ready for all of our yogis and dancers in November. Gather will actually open its doors to Level 1 and 2 Banduri belly dance students tonight, which is incredibly exciting! They’ll be keeping the floors warm for the yoga classes, which will officially launch on Monday, November 26th.
Yesterday I worked for about ten hours painting, cleaning, and decorating in the front half of the studio. It finally hit me that all of this stuff is for real–we’re really going to have a little wellness family right in Raymore very soon! I have to admit, putting the signage on the door last night right as the outside storefront lights lit up gave me goosebumps.
If you haven’t already signed up for our FREE yoga sessions on our November 24th open house, don’t wait! Classes are filling up quickly, but you can get more info and reserve your spot by checking out our Facebook page.
We’ll have lots more updates to the website and about our studio renovation website, so stay in touch through Facebook and by subscribing to our website. In just three short weeks your mat will be waiting for you!
Have a wonderful week, Gather family!
